Technical Tip for Online Instrumentation

Technical Tips for Troubleshooting Waltron Dissolved Oxygen and Silica analyzers

Waltron Dissolved Oxygen Analyzers
(Models 9060, 9437 and 9061)

  1. Check for proper o-ring placement on probe handle assembly.  Probe handle assembly needs to be replaced if black or green corrosion is seen on the 2 pins.  For detailed picture of correct o-ring placement and probe handle assembly click here.

  2. Check to make sure sample temperature displayed on analyzer matches actual sample temperature.  If the temperature readings do not match up within +/- 2C then thermistor may need to be replaced.

Waltron Silica Analyzer
(Model 9041)

  1. Perform PRIME cycle and visually check to make sure ALL 4 reagents are injecting properly.  All 4 reagents should be consumed at about the same rate.

  2. Follow prolonged shutdown procedure if unit is going to be offline for more than 2 weeks.  Detailed procedure can be found in user’s manual.  Please click here to download the most up-to-date user’s manual.
