The Waltron µAI
9030 Sodium Analyzer is a microprocessor-based instrument specifically
developed for use in continuous measurement and determination of sodium
ion concentration. The µAI 9030 Sodium Analyzer is designed to meet the exacting standards
for low level sodium measurement of nuclear and fossilfueled power stations,
providing fast response, high measurement accuracy and microprocessor programming
flexibility of all control output functions. |

µAI 9030 Sensor Unit
During calibration the 3-way valve is activated, a standard of known sodium
concentration passes through a heat exchanger to equilibriate the solution's
temperature to that of the sample. The standard then enters the constant
head unit where flow is stabilized. Alkaline buffer vapor is added via a
vapor entrainment mechanism before the standard enters the sodium measuring
flow cell and flows to drain. During normal operating conditions the standard
solution is replaced by the sample.
